This policy explains what the Coinline app ("Coinline", "we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Coinline game for iPhone and Android.
Your game save
Your company, machines, money and progress are stored only on your device. We don't run game servers and we can't see your save. If you delete the app, your save is deleted too, unless you exported it yourself from Settings.
Location
- Coinline asks for your location once, when you start, to place your game in your own city. On iPhone it asks for approximate location only.
- Before anything leaves your device, the position is rounded to about 1 km. That rounded position is sent to our data service only to check which map area to load. It isn't stored or logged with any identifier, and it isn't shared.
- You can say no. You'll pick from a list of cities instead, and the game works the same.
- Coinline never uses your location in the background.
Anonymous gameplay analytics (optional)
To improve balance and fix problems, Coinline can send short gameplay events, such as "machine placed" or "chapter 2 reached", with small counts. They're tied to a random install ID created on your device, not to your name, email or advertising ID. They never include your location or place names, and we tell our analytics provider (PostHog) not to store your IP address or build a person profile. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings.
Crash reports (optional)
If Coinline crashes, it can send a crash report to our error-tracking provider (Sentry) so we can fix the problem. A report contains technical details only: the error, the app version, the device model and the iOS version. It never includes your location, place names, your IP address or anything that identifies you, and web addresses in it are cut before any coordinates. Crash reports follow the same switch as analytics: turn analytics off in Settings and none are sent.
Ads (optional, rewarded only)
Coinline shows an ad only when you choose to watch one for a reward, such as double earnings for a while. Ads are provided by Google AdMob.
- By default, ads are requested as non-personalized.
- Only if you turn on personalized ads in Settings and allow tracking when iOS asks can Google use your device's advertising identifier to show ads that fit you. You can turn this off again at any time.
- Google may collect device and usage information to serve ads and prevent fraud, as described in Google's privacy information for partner apps.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple (or Google Play). We never see your payment details. To unlock and restore what you bought, purchase receipts and the random install ID are processed by RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider.
Maps and weather
- Map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap as you look around. Like any web request, the tile server sees your device's IP address and the map area requested.
- Weather is fetched for the center of your game's city (not your position), from MET Norway, either directly or through our data service.
Notifications
Reminders such as "a machine is empty" are scheduled on your device. They don't go through a server.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't ask for your name, email, contacts or photos.
- We don't track your precise or background location.
Children
Coinline isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The optional analytics and the non-personalized ads described above don't identify anyone.
Your choices and deleting data
- Turn analytics or personalized ads off in Settings.
- Delete the app to remove your save and the install ID from your device.
- To ask us to delete the anonymous analytics tied to your install, send us the install ID shown in Settings → Credits and licenses.
